Description
Athanasius theological legacy is regarded as the foundation of Patristic Theology. This course consists of five sections 1) Athanasius' life and works; 2)His doctrine of Creation and Redemption, 2)His Defense and exposition of Nicene Christology 3) His doctrine of the Holy Spirit and the Trinity 4) His doctrine of the Incarnation and specifically of the humanity of Christ, 5) His Doctrine of Christian Asceticism. Emphasis will be paid on an analysis of Athansius' relevant texts and on contemporary expositions and debates of Patristic scholars on the above topics.
