Description
Archaic Greek Poetry is designed for Classics majors who have completed English Composition I and II as well as nine (9) credits in ancient Greek. Through extensive readings in archaic and classical Greek literature, this 3-credit course offers key readings in Homeric epic and a comprehensive overview of Greek lyric poetry. The method of instruction will consist of lectures and audiovisual presentations (75%) followed by class discussions (25%). Students need to devote to homework a minimum of three hours per credit hour.
