Description
This course will utilize both lectures and student discussion groups in order to address both current and longstanding issues regarding the relationship between Science and Orthodox theology. The theology of the Fathers and the Tradition of the Church will be put into dialogue with issues such as scientific evolution, cosmology, “randomness and coincidence,†bio-ethical questions related to genetic research, and many other issues, such as the current debate over vaccinations.
