Description
This course provides a general introduction to the
field of teaching through the lens of Religious
Education. Students will explore educational topics
such as: lesson planning, differentiated instruction,
assessment strategies, and meeting the diverse
needs of learners. This course will also examine
teacher certification requirements and professional
expectations.
Through hands-on experiences, students will
develop an understanding of the elements of
effective instruction and reflect on the role of the
educator within religious and other educational
settings. This course will also provide students with
opportunities to explore the vocation of teaching,
connect with practicing educators, and develop
foundational skills necessary for effective teaching.
