Description
This one-week seminar will comprise an in-depth look at the liturgical form and hymnology of Holy Week in the Greek Orthodox Church. Special emphasis will be given to the interpretation of the hymns and themes of each day in Holy Week in order to ascertain what message the Church wants to communicate to us. Some attention will also be given to the actual historical evolution of these services. This is required for all M.Div. seminarians in their first year.
