Description
This course is specially designed to prepare students who are exploring the possibility of ordination to the holy diaconate and/or priesthood. The material that will be taught includes dismissal hymns and kontakia for Sundays and major feast days, hymns for hierarchical services, hymns for sacraments, etc. Additionally, special emphasis will be place on training the ekphonetic recitation of liturgi cal petitions and the gospel pericopes. Prereq: Byzantine Music I-IV
